Narrative Healing & Mindfulness with Horses (4-Day Retreat)

Start date: January 8, 2026 | End date: January 11, 2026
Time: 12:00 am | 12:00 am
Location: Clinton Corners, New York

Featuring Lisa Weinert & Jennifer Cohen Harper

Join us for an immersive weekend retreat in an enchanted equine sanctuary in the heart of the Hudson Valley to rest, revitalize and tap into your creative muse in the company of horses on their healing journey.

The 13 Hands herd contains a diverse array of over 200 equines. There are horses of all sizes and breeds from miniature horses to drafts, as well as mules and donkeys. Horses that have been abandoned, abused, or neglected. Some are previously unhandled mustangs brought here after roundups. And others have been born on the farm to mares pregnant at the time of rescue, and have only known love and safety. With the support of this incredible herd, you’ll experience connection and communication using your body language, breath, energy and intention.

This immersive mindfulness and writing workshop with horses offers layers of experiential offerings to practice deep listening, connecting and sharing stories within and without.

Kripalu: Care for The Caregiver

Start date: January 30, 2026 | End date: February 1, 2026
Time: 12:00 am | 12:00 am

This weekend retreat is for all who identify as caregivers—whether you are a professional, a family member, or the steady friend others turn to.

Caregiving is a profound act of love, but without pause it can lead to burnout, grief, and disconnection. Together we’ll create a sanctuary of reflection and replenishment. Through Narrative Healing™ writing, gentle movement, and mindfulness practices, you’ll reconnect with your voice, body, and inner resources.

Led by Lisa Weinert with guest faculty Dr. Suzanne Koven, Dr. Eddie Phillips, Crystal McCreary, and Celia Hilson, this retreat offers sustainable practices, community, and a circle that sees you not just for what you hold—but for who you are.

No writing or yoga experience needed. Please bring a journal and comfortable clothing.

Contact us if you are interested in booking Lisa as a speaker or a Narrative Healing workshop for your community.

In the News

"We're talking to each other more than ever before, immersed in near-constant communication between texts, Zoom meetings, emails, comments sections, and DMs—but that doesn’t mean we’re listening. In fact, studies show U.S. adults take in and comprehend less than 25% of what they hear in an average conversation."
Ethan is joined by author, teacher and writing coach Lisa Weinert.  They discuss the power of storytelling as both a spiritual and psychological method for healing. They also talk about why the act of writing is so excruciating, as well as the relationship between storytelling and embodiment. They definitely do not discuss their 9th Grade English teacher, Mr. Hubner.
