Lisa Weinert (RYT) is the founder and author of NARRATIVE HEALING. She is a mindfulness teacher and writing coach who has taught and lectured on the power of storytelling at institutions such as Wesleyan University, Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, and Fortune 500 media companies. Beginning her career in book publishing, Weinert eventually became a certified yoga instructor specializing in trauma-informed, therapeutic, and restorative yoga, leading her to combine her professional training with her own experience with trauma to create Narrative Healing. This somatic writing program seeks to release our stories in a way that is accessible and empowering. Instead of putting pen to paper immediately like most writing programs, NARRATIVE HEALING: Awaken the Power of Your Story (Hachette Go!) begins with the body and provides anyone— not just writers—a comforting and inclusive pathway to healing by first searching within.
Uncover the healing power of your story. In my book, Narrative Healing, I’ll help you unlock your authentic voice and connect with others. I empower you to understand and release your stories, guiding you through six healing steps: awaken, listen, express, inspire, connect, and grow. Your stories have a healing purpose, and by embracing them, you’ll connect with the world and your true self.
With decades of experience as a writer, trauma-informed yoga, and meditation teacher, my programs are solution-focused, science-backed, and accessible. I lead interactive talks that promote healing, transformation, empathy, and community care.
Deepen your practice and pursue your goals with my signature programs. Our Listening Circles are a live storytelling workshop to create the conditions to share original work and offer supportive feedback, our weekly live classes offer a mindbody writing experience, and our hybrid online course with Omega Institute is a 7-week immersive companion to the book.
